{"id":12448,"date":"2010-04-28T15:22:46","date_gmt":"2010-04-28T15:22:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mozo.vamtam.com\/?p=12448"},"modified":"2010-04-28T15:22:46","modified_gmt":"2010-04-28T15:22:46","slug":"max-talks-writing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sophielazar.com\/index.php\/2010\/04\/28\/max-talks-writing\/","title":{"rendered":"MAX Talks Writing &#038; Proposing to His Wife With &#8216;Lights Down Low&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"vgblk-rw-wrapper limit-wrapper\">\n\t<p>This is an aside post.<\/p>\n<p>Pop singer-songwriter MAX recently sat down with Billboard as part of the \u201cHow It Went Down\u201d video series, to reveal how his romantic breakthrough hit song \u201cLights Down Low\u201d &#8212; which he used to propose to his now-wife &#8212; was created.<\/p>\n<p>The track, which appears on MAX\u2019s third studio album Hell&#8217;s Kitchen Angel, was written while he was on tour with Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa. At the time, the musician had just started dating the woman he would one day marry, and she would fly out to see him on weekends throughout the tour. \u201cOur time was so precious,\u201d says MAX, explaining that the lyric, \u201cCan I stop the flow of time?\/ Can I swim in your divine?\u201d was inspired by their short, sporadic visits together.<\/p>\n\u201cWe would just have these weekends in different states on this tour and trying to just encapsulate them,\u201d he adds. \u201cI didn\u2019t want her to leave ever.
